  1. Awarded 50th Annual Plant Design Award from American Drycleaners magazine

2010

  1. Mrs. Marie-Louise Hallak presented with the Shepherd Award for the International Drycleaners Congress recognition of her support.

  2. Greenwich, CT and Westchester County are added to our home delivery service area.

  3. Our 12,000sq ft plant undergoes a complete redesign as sophisticated control systems by the Italian firm Metal Progetti are implemented.

  1. John-Claude is invited to address the New York Chapter of NCA on customer service and retention.

  1. Hallak Cleaners undergoes a total redesign of the 2nd Avenue store as we celebrate our 40th anniversary.

  1. Joe, Jr. elected to serve as President of NCA Board of Directors.

2003

  1. John-Claude elected as NJ delegate to Board of Directors of Northeast Fabricare Association.

2002

  1. Joe, Jr. is elected to the Board of Directors of WGS Specialists Association.

  2. Hallak Cleaners receives “Leading Edge Environmental Award” from NJSBEAP Compliance Advisory Panel (only two businesses each year receive this award in the entire state of NJ)

  3. Hallak Cleaners receives “Outstanding Innovator Award” at International Conference in Scottsdale, AZ.

1999

  1. John-Claude Hallak is featured speaker at IDC Conference in Toronto.

1997

  1. Joseph Hallak, Jr. receives grant for Fellowship from IDC, travels throughout Western Europe and makes formal appearances at IDC Conference in Munich, Germany.

1996

  1. Hallak takes over adjoining retail space on 2nd Avenue and expands to 1,200sq ft.

  1. A new 12,000sq ft state-of-the-art facility is opened and is dedicated to the memory of JJH, Sr. and his inspiring vision

  1. Joe Hallak, Sr. passes away suddenly and unexpectedly.

  1. Hallak receives “Plant Design Award” from American Dry Cleaner.

  1. Barney's uses Joe Hallak, Sr. as spokesperson for a full page NYT ad. This is also the same year Hallak Cleaners is featured on the cover of American Dry Cleaner

  1. Hallak Cleaners opens at 1239 Second Avenue.

1965

  1. After ten short years, the construction of NJ Interstate 280 marks the end of Eiffel.

1955

  1. Joseph Hallak, Sr. opens Eiffel Cleaners in East Orange, NJ.
