What if my clothes arrive having shifted during handling? How do I send my garments to you? We use either UPS or FedEx when shipping outbound orders, but you may send your items via any carrier you choose, however, we suggest that you choose a method which provides a delivery receipt signature. Please use our courier_couture_form to send us your items.
Do I need to insure them? While our experience with the reliability of the major carriers has been remarkably good, insurance can certainly provide an added level of comfort. If you decide to insure your goods when you send them to us, please be specific as to whether you would like them insured on their return to you, as well - and if so, remember to provide us with the valuation(s).
How long does it take? Our standard turnaround for general cleaning is one week. Faster turnaround times are available for more urgent situations. Specialty items, such as leathers and suedes, usually take 2-3 weeks (and sometimes longer). The speed in which you receive your order is also impacted by your choice of shipping service (i.e. ground, 2nd day or overnight).
What carriers do you use? We use UPS and FedEx for all of our outbound orders, but you may choose whatever carrier you prefer when sending your items to us. Please try to use a shipping method which gates a signature on delivery. You may also choose to have the shipping charges billed directly to your own UPS or FedEx account.
What are the shipping charges? The shipping charges will vary depending on the size and weight of the box, the destination address, and the service chosen. Once your items have been prepared for shipping and the carrier service is selected, we can give you the precise cost. For instance, shipping charges for a box with two folded sweaters sent to Florida last month cost $16.00 for UPS ground - while shipping charges to Florida for a wardrobe box containing 2 silk blouses (on hangers) cost $32.00. Shipping in wardrobe boxes generally costs more due to the higher cost of the box, as well as the increased shipping charges based on the "oversize" dimensions.
What if my clothes arrive having shifted during handling? Your satisfaction is guaranteed. Our professional packaging is done to allow minimal interior shifting in order to keep your garments as fresh as possible. However, it is difficult to predict the handling once it is taken on by a third party shipper. In the rare instance where rough handling results in the garments arriving in poor condition, we will have them picked up, repressed and re-delivered, entirely at our expense. |
