Hallak Dryleaning FAQs

Familiar with Hallak Cleaners?  We are the New York  Metropolitan’s trusted couture dry cleaner.  If you are unfamiliar and have some questions, you have come to the right place!

At Hallak, you may pay with the following: cash, checks, money orders, ATM card, American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.  Regular walk-in and delivery customers may opt to link a credit card on account.

At times, some clients prefer an account linked to a credit card. Then, we process a month’s open invoices in one lump. A summary statement would then be billed showing all activity.

Does Hallak visit your area? Check our Delivery schedule to see when we will be seeing you next or simply call (212) 832-0750.  Complimentary pick-up and delivery is available in Manhattan, the Hamptons, Westchester, Greenwich, Short Hills and Bergen County.

There are many ways to schedule a pick-up including: our quick form,  the Hallak app  a phone call or emailing  info@hallak.com.  In addition, many customers prefer a weekly scheduled service. (This is ideal for clients taking advantage of our casual wear and linen care.)

If needed, here is a Temporary Receipt to include with your order. 

If you schedule a pick-up in advance, you may request a welcome kit to be delivered prior to your first order.  Inside the welcome kit, there will be a personalized laundry bag and some other useful items.  At the time of scheduling, you may also request a laundry bag be left behind for future orders.

When clients do not have a Hallak laundry bag, we kindly ask that you leave your items in any other reasonably, secure bag for our driver.  For example, please tape or tie a shopping bag’s handles should this be your option.  Be sure to let the Hallak team member taking your pick-up know what kind of bag to be on the lookout for.  They can relay this message to your route’s driver.

Great question.  You have a few options. First, you can speak directly with your driver who will adjust accordingly. Next, you can call (212) 832-0750 and speak with one of our representatives or email info@hallak.com. Along with skipping a few days, Hallak can also put a longer ‘vacation hold’ on your account.

In addition, please keep in mind that Hallak observes seven including: New Year’s Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.  When a holiday falls on a weekday, Hallak will attempt to pick-up or deliver the next possible day  – unless instructed otherwise.

If you have a special request, we will do our best to fulfill it. You can either indicate your request using our Temporary Receipt or include a note in your laundry bag.

In addition, any instructions can also be provided in your pick-up form or in your conversation with a Hallak customer service representative.

If you are a first time customer, you will receive a courtesy phone. During the conversation, your Hallak representative will review pricing and care details.  

Going forward, only items that require extra labor or additional care will initiate a phone call for price approval.  If you feel more comfortable with setting a ‘threshold’ to trigger price notification, we would be happy to arrange this for you. At Hallak Cleaners, we value our customers’ privacy. 

While it is tempting to offer the names of high-profile and celebrity clients (as many dry cleaners routinely do), we never share that information – with anyone.   All personal information is used strictly to provide the very best customer and fabric care.  Personal information is never shared or sold. All paperwork, which makes any reference to a client’s credit card information, address or phone number, is systematically shredded. Our client data and  company data are housed on secured, dedicated Unix servers (in-house).. All of our web content and activity is hosted on separate servers that are not connected to Hallak’s company network.
