June 2019 Brides
It’s Never Too Early to Consider Your Gown’s Post Wedding Care.
When a June 2019 bride was initially looking for THE DRESS, she was solely thinking about her very special day. Walking down the aisle. The first kiss as a couple. Dancing the night away. She certainly wasn’t thinking about her gown’s post wedding care. For many, they don’t think about it until after their big day.
However, a gown’s after care is very important – and should not be overlooked. Your first step is choosing the right cleaners. Referrals and word-of-mouth recommendations are helpful. A direct conversation is even better! That’s why Hallak’s team encourages you to call or stop by either of our store locations: Manhattan and Bergen County.
“I had an amazing experience with Hallak getting my wedding dress altered. George knew exactly what he was doing and it fit like a glove! They accommodated my schedule for all appointments and made me feel confident every step of the way. Really loved my experience and highly recommend.” (Happy Bride)
Wedding planning is a stressful time so we understand that gown preservation research can fall to the bottom of the to-do list. Here are a few, helpful tips until you are ready to make a decision.
Before & After the Big Day for the June 2019 Brides:
- Avoid storing wedding gown (and other garments) in plastic. Breathable garment bags are best.
- Wear cotton gloves when trying on a dress, during alterations and after the wedding.
- Dress should be kept out of direct sunlight in a temperature-controlled room.
- Whether you are selling or preserving your wedding gown, it should be cleaned soon after the festivities. (Don’t allow stains to set!)
