When we meet our couples prior to their wedding, we try to stress the importance for having a post-wedding garment care plan.  If a honeymoon is planned for right afterwards, you may want to speak with a family member or friend who can arrange  dropping items off.  If the couple is not traveling, they can plan their pick-up in advance.

A wedding gown is as unique as the person wearing it.  For an estimate, you can use our gown estimator form. However, we try to encourage clients to stop by or schedule a pick-up. In-person evaluations of the gown in its current condition is the only way we are able to provide you with actual pricing.  Questions? For destination wedding couples, you have the option of shipping your wedding fashion ahead of your return home.  Hallak’s wedding coordinators make this easy. They will coordinate with you the shipment and receipt of your garments so that you do not have to worry.You have invested in your big day’s attire – so let’s protect it together.

Valentine’s Day Weekend 2020

Excited for your Valentine’s Day Weekend 2020 wedding? Love is certainly in the air.

If you chose this weekend for your reception, then you couldn’t have picked a more romantic date – and month. February is known for being the month of love.  Of course, it would only be fitting that many couples say, “I do” as well.

Along with all the weddings,  there are also many who are just starting their journey together. Engagement season essentially runs from Thanksgiving to Valentine’s Day. There is simply so much to celebrate this season!

In February, some soon-to-be newlyweds choose to wed somewhere warmer or more exotic.  Destination weddings are one of our specialties as well. Allow us to help properly prepare your wedding attire for take-off.  Please keep in mind that most garments will still require a freshening up upon arrival – and its walk down the aisle. (During travel, there is inevitable shifting that takes place.)

Destination Wedding Travel Tip: Bring a breathable garment bag to bring your gown home in. Make arrangements for post-wedding care prior to your trip. You may even wish to bring a box so you can ship straight from your wedding to the desired cleaners.

Valentine’s Day 2020 Preparation

Valentine’s Day 2020 Preparation should have started by now. However, we understand how weeks fly by – and there you are – with nothing to wear.

There is still time to take care of any last minute alterations, tailoring or freshening up.  If you are unable to stop by either of our store locations, please schedule your pick-up. (Alterations and tailoring require an in-person visit.)  Complimentary delivery service is available in Manhattan, Bergen County, Westchester, Greenwich and the Short Hills neighborhood.

Wondering what to wear?

• Where will you be going?
• What will the weather be like?
• Will you be walking around?

Once you have an idea of what your (day or) night is going to look like, you can plan accordingly.  With Manhattan dates, there is always the possibility that you will be waiting for a cab or walking a few blocks. Nevertheless, this doesn’t always stop us from wearing uncomfortable shoes or being cold. After all, it is in the name of fashion.
