Hallak Cleaners is by far the best dry cleaners I’ve ever been to.  Their attention to detail, cleanliness and extra pride in their product presentation and customer satisfaction, is so pleasing and rewarding.  The staff is professional, kind, courteous and always in a good mood.  It’s so nice to go to a place of business where they know you by name, and actually care about you.

it’s obvious that they take the time to ensure that every detail of their finished products go far beyond standards  100% Class and 100% Satisfaction all the time.

Update: Hallak Cleaners’ power has been restored. Please feel free to create your pick-up, email info@hallak.com or call us at (212) 832-0750. Thank you again for your patience.

Hallak Cleaners (and the Hackensack area) is experiencing a power outage that has affected our computer, phone systems and production.  Early this morning, we have begun setting up generators.  However at this time, we have limited capacities.

Please kindly use our Contact form for all communication. A team member off-site will be monitoring throughout the day. While we hope to be up and running soon, we do not have an estimate.

We will be doing our best to make all scheduled pick-ups and deliveries. Unfortunately, our system is down, which may lead to potential delays or possible rescheduling. Both stores will be open, but they will also have limited capabilities.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

We Just Added A Hamptons Route!

We will be visiting the Hamptons this Wednesday, May 6th.

Hallak has added a Hamptons route. During this time, we have heard (and listened) to our clients regarding a need for our services closer to their summer homes.  This would still be a complimentary delivery route.

Currently, we are offering a 15% discount on all dry cleaning and cold storage services.  You may also choose our wash-and-fold care for your more casual items, towels, etc.

This Wednesday, May 6th, will be the first visit out to the Hamptons – ever.  While we figure out the logistics, we are currently offering a window of 8am -12 pm for pick-ups and deliveries.  If you wish to schedule a pick-up, please email info@hallak.com. In your email, please provide the following information:

  • Full Name
  • New York Home Address (for our current customers)
  • Summer Home Address
  • Best Phone Number
  • Garment Care Request (if needed)
  • Any Additional Instructions (such as call at gate)
  • Laundry Bag Needed?

When you place a pick-up, you will receive a confirmation email. Your items will be returned Saturday or the following Wednesday.  In our 54 year, we have never had a Hamptons route so we are excited; we also understand that there may be a few hiccups. We kindly ask that you be patient with us.  Hallak appreciates your loyalty and hope that you find this new route helpful.

That’s right, free return shipping to Hamptons.  We heard you – and we listened.  Currently, many of our customers have (understandably) relocated outside of the New York Metropolitan area.  Even with miles apart, Hallak wanted to let you know that we are here for you.  Therefore, it only made sense to provide this type of reach-out to our friends staying in the Hamptons, upstate NY, etc. (For shipping details, please see below.)

With so much changed, Hallak is doing its best to adapt to our community’s new safety guidelines and needs.  As you may already know, we are now offering wash and fold services. For this level of garment and linen care, there is a 5lb minimum at $8.50 per lb.  Dry cleaning is also still available – and with a 15% discount.

Complimentary pick-up and delivery routes for Manhattan, Westchester, Greenwich, Bergen County and the Short Hills neighborhood are still open.  Both retail locations have temporary hours of Monday through Saturday (9am – 3pm).  If you wish to schedule a pick-up or questions about shipping, please call (212) 832-0750 or email info@hallak.com.  Both voicemail and emails are monitored regularly.

When shipping, please include a piece of paper within the package or box with the following information:

  • Contact/Account Name
  • Home Address
  • Return Address
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address
  • Any Special Instructions

Once we receive your items, a team member will call you with any questions or concerns.  If you wish, you may email info@hallak.com prior to any shipping so our team can keep a lookout. (Some clientele prefer to reach out in this manner. We will do whatever it takes to make you feel most comfortable.)

In our current state, the Hallak family would like to stay in touch with our loyal customers. Along with our email blasts and social media posts, we will continue with regular posts right here.

Laundering is proven to be an effective method in cleaning and sanitizing garments.

Dry cleaning services are currently 15% off.

Wash and fold services are now available as well. 

Temporary Store Hours Reminder

Both New York and New Jersey locations are open Monday through Saturday, 9am -3pm. Complimentary pick-up and delivery still available as always. Recently, we have added free return shipping to the Hamptons.

If you are visiting either store, please be sure to wear a face covering or mask.  If you do not have one, please let us know so we may provide one. Let’s all do our part to keep each other safe and healthy.

During off-hours, you may still schedule a pick-up by using our Hallak App, pick-up request form, calling (voicemail) or emailing info@hallak.com.

Unfortunately, our team has dramatically decreased. However, we have hope that we will all be together again soon enough.

Hallak Cleaners Latest Fabric Care Solution

Dear Valued Clients and friends,

First and foremost, the Hallak family would like to offer our thoughts and prayers to everyone during these very trying times. New Yorkers and the tri-state area are made up of fighters and survivors, and this time will be no different. We would also like to acknowledge and thank all essential workers such as medical providers, first responders – and also our hard-working team.

At this time, we thought it would be beneficial to offer wash and fold services with a “Hallak” touch.

Quick Wash & Fold Facts

  • $8.50 per lb (Price already reflects discount.)
  • Minimum 5lbs.
  • All items being brought in or picked up must be in a laundry bag.
  • All bags will be cleaned, sanitized and returned.
  • Wash and fold does not include ironing, hand-finishing, etc.
  • Pick-up and delivery available.

Please remember that in our previous post we explained the benefits of laundering and dry cleaning.  Both processes are proven ways of sanitizing garments and linens.

**Effective immediately:  All customers must wear a face mask or covering prior to entering the store. If you do not have a mask, please let us know so we may provide you with one.**

For safety measures and a decrease in work being sent in, the Hallak team of workers has temporarily been reduced.  However, we are hoping and looking forward to welcoming back all those friendly faces that we love and hold dear.

At Hallak Cleaners, we are doing our best to maintain operations for those who are sending in garments for cleaning and/or sanitizing. At this time, we would like to encourage our customers who are home to start your spring clean up NOW instead of waiting until April and May. In order to generate work to keep at least half of our staff working, Hallak Cleaners will be offering a 15% discount on all spring cleaning of garments, sheets and household items. It’s a great way to clean, sanitize and save.

Hallak cleaners has also secured and should be receiving any day now, a CDC approved sanitizer which we will allow us to come to your home and fog rooms you would like disinfected. The product is limited and will be on a first come basis until our supplies run out. We are equipped with white jumpsuits, gloves and masks to keep us protected from each other. The same will apply in cases where drapes need to be taken down, assuming we are allowed into your building. Please call Joe Hallak for further details.
