Wedding Gown Alteration Tips
Here are the top alteration tips every bride should know:
- Start Early: If we had our way, you would schedule your first bridal fitting around 3 months prior. Getting married during wedding season? Make dress fittings in advance! Allow yourself ample time.
- Choose the Best. You have invested in your wedding gown. This is not the time to skimp. A beautiful wedding gown is only as pretty as it fits. See our glowing reviews here!
- Bring Your Bridal Shapewear: It’s best practice to wear the same undergarments each visit. They should also be the bra and shapewear you’ll be wearing to your wedding. This also applies to your shoes!
- Also Bring Accessories: Wearing a specific veil or headpiece? Bring them to your fitting appointments. This allows the seamstress to make any necessary adjustments to ensure seamless coordination.
- Communicate Openly: It is important that you and your wedding alteration team speak. Communicate your preferences and any concerns. Be open to a professional’s advice. Together, you can make sure to have your gown fitting beautifully.
Remember, your wedding gown is not just a dress – it is a symbol of your love and commitment. Trust the experts who have earned the trust of designers and bridal shops.
