Men’s Dry Cleaning Services
Celebrating over 50 years!
Hallak Cleaners is a trusted name among men’s boutiques and their clientele. The Armoury, Brioni, Thom Browne, Alexander McQueen, Paul Smith, Tom Ford, and other favorites turn to Hallak.
We go the extra mile to deliver unparalleled service. Detail-oriented, eco-friendly cleaning methods, and consistency make us the go-to dry cleaner. With our advanced facilities and state-of-the-art equipment, we pride ourselves on our quality care.
Dry Cleaning Suits
We take suit dry cleaning to a whole new level. Expect superior cleaning, hand-finished edges, and no detail left untouched. Specialty buttons are covered or R&R (removed and re-sewn). Minor repairs noted and tended without any action needed. Tuxedo? Hallak’s wedding services are a specialty.
Three Levels of Shirt Laundry
Hallak offers three levels of business shirt dry cleaning. Yes, three! There is a level best suited for you and your wardrobe. Basic or premium, your cleaned shirt is returned ready to wear. Based on your customer preference, button downs are returned touched or fully hand finished.
Suede and Leather Accessories
Briefcases, jackets and shoes love a day out. Suede and leather always end up showing the day’s wear and tear. Trust your routine maintenance and beyond to our experts. Hallak’s suede and leather department work year-round to keep your items looking great.
Silk Ties
Wait! Don’t put that tie back just yet. After each wearing, inspect your tie. Body oils, colognes, food, and other outside elements can leave their mark. Treat tie stains and don’t allow them a chance to settle in.
Outerwear
Trench coats, wool overcoats, and other jackets go in and out of your closet throughout a season. We always tell clients to inspect regularly. Most importantly, clean all outerwear (and all clothing) prior to seasonal storage. (Hallak offers box and cold storage, if needed.)
Types of Suits Dry Cleaning
Hallak’s team understand the importance of your suit investment. Each client relies on this service for various reasons. Regular suit wearer or only for special occasions, you need a name you can trust.
Here are some of the types of suits we care for:
- Business Suits: Business suits are flawlessly cleaned and finished. Ready for your next meeting or event. Send in your wool and cashmere suits knowing they are in good hands.
- Formal Suits: Expertly cleaned and finished to perfection. They are returned in their original elegance and style.
- Custom-Tailored Suits: A custom-tailored suit is a personal investment that requires extra care. Hallak’s highly skilled team ensures every subtle detail (e.g. hand-stitches, unique buttons, specialized fabrics) are carefully handled.

Unfortunately, there is no clear and cut answer. Frequent cleaning or spaced out clothing maintenance is based on how often you are wearing it – and its type of use. Suits worn all day, riding on the subway, and other outside events require frequent cleanings. Clothing with visible stains should be sent in for professional stain removal right away. To preserve the quality of the suit and fabric, we suggest sending in both suit pieces to your local dry cleaner together. And always follow any label that states “dry clean only”.
Pre-treatment (spot cleaning) and advanced dry cleaning techniques effectively remove most stains. Deep set stains (or older stains) prove to be more challenging. Before tackling any stain removal, our experienced staff evaluates each stain. If possible, always treat stains sooner rather than later. That’s why regular inspection is so important!
Before bringing in your suit, check the pockets and remove any personal items. Note any specific stains or areas of concern and inform our staff upon drop-off. And if you forget don’t stress! We have a dedicated itemizing team that thoroughly inspects each garment. If we find anything in your pockets, they will be returned immediately. Additionally, you can keep custom preferences on file such as remove and resew specialty buttons.
Standard turnaround is one week. Of course, we aim to accommodate a client’s needs. It is important to note that our plant is closed on Saturday and Sunday. Rushes dropped off Monday or Tuesday can easily be returned later in the week. And don’t forget that we offer a full line of professional dry cleaning services including shirt laundry, suede, leather, and more. Questions? Give us a call at (212) 832-0750.
If you send your suit in its own garment bag, we will return that garment bag. Hallak uses quality hangers and protective dry clean garment bags to protect the work completed. (If returned in a plastic covering, please remove once you are home. They are not meant for long-term storage.)
The dry cleaning cost is based on the suit’s current condition, fabric, and other factors. Interested in an estimate? Stop by or give us a call.
