Hallak’s Helpful Hints for a Fall Wardrobe Switch

Have you been putting off your fall wardrobe switch?  We understand.  The idea of switching out your spring/summer clothing with your fall/winter items can be exhausting in itself.  For some, it is hard to let go of your summer favorites.  It means accepting that winter is right around the corner.

If you live in Manhattan or a house with limited storage, there is also the issue of space. Do you actually have the capacity to have separate seasonal wardrobes or is everything stored together? And if you are storing, are garments being stored safely?

While warm weather fashion takes up far less room than your bulkier winter items, you may still find making room stressful. It’s why Hallak’s box storage is a client favorite! It’s a great alternative to having to fold and store away ALL your clothing yourself.

To keep your fashion safe, all items must be professionally cleaned prior to being stored at our climate-controlled, secure facility. You can add as little or as much as you’d like. There is only a one-time set-up fee for the storage season. Add and pull as you go along. This type of storage is perfect for your actual clothing.

Your outwear would benefit from our cold storage. With this option, you can choose to have your item stored as-is, freshened up, or fully cleaned. By having three levels, pick what works best for each individual piece. Cold storage is perfect for your fur, leather jackets, spring suedes, etc. While the weather isn’t too cold just yet, you can safely keep items in storage and pull as needed.

What’s best about our storage options is that we pick up your items and take care of the heavy work. All you have to do is call for your free pick-up. September Fall Preparation

Have you began your September fall preparation?  Next weeks, autumn begins. And as you may have noticed, the cooler weather has already begun to creep in.

In the New York/New Jersey area, transitional seasons like spring and fall can be a bit tricky to navigate. Cool mornings lead to warm days, which only lead to cooler evenings. While we do not recommend a full seasonal clothing switch right away, you may wish to consider pulling a few items such as:

• Uggs
• Parkas
• Long-sleeve Tees
• Lightweight Sweaters

With every seasonal change, our team tries to remind clients to clean all garments (and accessories) prior to storing.  Things happen, we understand. However, this just means you should begin inspecting items prior to the weather changing.  Stains that were once invisible may discolor over time – and no-one likes these types of suprises!

Spring 2022 Casual Wear Care

Spring 2022 casual wear care is just another one of our specialities.  Last year, Hallak added wash-and-fold to our list of services.

Originally, we wanted to provide an extra level of care. During the lockdown, laundromats were closed and many households were running without the usual assistance. Early on, the team started to reach out to clients regarding a laundry service.

As it has remained successful, we have decided to keep wash-and-fold as a permanent service.  Laundry is ideal for items such as:

• Athleisure
• Casual pants
• Polo shirts
• Golf apparel
• Tennis wear
• Blankets
• Towels
